Groups at New Life | Following Jesus Together

In Acts 2:42-47, we see what it looked like to follow Jesus in a community when the Church first began. They gathered in homes, shared meals, prayed, worshiped, and explored God’s Word—always in community. That vision is still alive today because of the relational design God imbedded in every human heart.

Community Groups

Following Jesus is not a solo journey. At the heart of our faith is a personal relationship with Jesus but also a community of believers seeking to follow him together. Community Groups are designed to help us connect with one another to learn how to live life with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do as Jesus would do.

Community Groups provide the ideal relational context for being known, being loved, and sharing the heart of Jesus with others. In an age of increasing isolation and pervasive loneliness, our connection to one another has never been more important. Resist the pull to go it alone and learn to follow Jesus with others in a Community Group.

Leading a Community Group

Community Groups are at the heart of our mission to follow Jesus together. To make that mission come to life, we need dedicated leaders who find joy in bringing people together. By facilitating a Community Group, you’ll help members discover practical ways to follow Jesus daily. By cultivating a group culture of encouragement, prayer, study, and authentic relationships, you will have a front-row seat to seeing lives transformed.  As a Community Group Leader, you’ll receive training, access to resources, and ongoing support from New Life staff.  

Specialized Groups

Connection and growth often result from being surrounded by others who truly understand your journey. Sometimes, having friends who are facing similar circumstances or who are in the same life stage as you are helps you make sense of your story and provides you the tools you need to move forward and thrive.

Other times, the support of an accepting person who truly listens is what helps remind you that you’re not alone. Regardless of the specific need or longing, New Life Church offers connection in Specialized Groups in the following areas:
